William Alexander Auld, the fifth son and youngest child of Alexander and Catherine Auld (m.s.Wares) was born on the 24th April 1882 at Trumland, Island of Rousay, Orkney
He was married to Emily Matilda Reynolds and they had four children;-
Maisie - born 1910
Elsie - born 1912
William Alexander - born 1913
Thomas - born 1917
For many years they ran 'The Devonshire Stores', Devonshire Road, Chiswick.
William died on the 9th May 1958 and Emily on the 21st August 1971
